The words, Whatever flows from adult lives, fills the cups of those who follow, have been engraved on the counter top and lettered in the tablecloth.
We bought the brass coffee pot in Israel. To me, it had a masculine, medieval look. I kept it for years, feeling that one day it could be part of a significant painting.
Children, like the cups of various sizes, filled our lives.
Then, suddenly, they were grown up and gone.
Our home is mostly quiet now. We look on and watch our children pouring themselves into the grandchildren� We see a timeless truth. - They are giving out what they took in.
About Graham Braddock
Most of my paintings are executed in oils, often over the top of other media. Many are visual stories that contain partially hidden words or imagery where the homespun and the familiar become symbols of timeless truth. My hope is that you will discover additional levels of meaning as you look at the paintings closely.
