This painting is a reminder of something that we already know, but so easily forget.
I believe that ongoing love is more than a feeling. It has to be cultivated. Romance can be kept alive by unhurried time together. Regular dates, really listening to each other’s hearts, little notes and gifts are also great.
Most of my paintings are executed in oils, often over the top of other media. Many are visual stories that contain partially hidden words or imagery where the homespun and the familiar become symbols of timeless truth. My hope is that you will discover additional levels of meaning as you look at the paintings closely.
