I love this painting, not so much for its artistic merit, but because it says so much in a simple, understandable language to young and old alike.
The inspiration comes from, The Name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and are safe�. Proverbs 18v10.
I have a friend who did a Bible study on the names of God. The more she meditated on Gods character as revealed in His names, the more she grew in faith and understanding of Him.
The art director of a Christian childrens magazine suggested that I create an illustration of a very high tower and encouraged me to weave some of Gods names in semi-hidden form throughout.
If you can find 16 of them you are doing very well.
Many of my paintings carry semi hidden messages. The best known one is, Road to the Cross.

Most of my paintings are executed in oils, often over the top of other media. Many are visual stories that contain partially hidden words or imagery where the homespun and the familiar become symbols of timeless truth.
