Description
Look above, the darkness is temporary.
I stood on the tel which is the remains of the ancient city of Megiddo in Northern Israel. From boyhood I had been taught about a time when world powers will be gathered to a place called Armageddon for battle on the great day of God Almighty. Revelation ch 16 to 19.
Is this the place?
I have come to understand that personal faith in Jesus Christ is the ultimate divider of destiny. As the world scene darkens, God promises to raise up His jewels, an army of people from all nations who will inherit the Earth, Heaven and Eternity.
A couple of weeks ago, I put the painting up on www.grahambraddock.co.nz, which is really easy to use, and added the portrait of Jesus encouraging us to look up, above and beyond the darkness, in the confidence that He is in control.
A few days later, the following prophetic word came to my mind:
Do not be overwhelmed by the seeming supremacy of evil. Look above the dark clouds and focus on my ability to change the heart of the people of your nation.
Look above what you read in the newspaper and what you see on TV. I am your source. Look to me to raise up deliverers, governmental leaders, caregivers, evangelists and workers of miracles, apostles and teachers, prophets and pastors. Look to me with the eye of faith. The time will come when life in the garden will be restored. It will not be just two people, but billions of people, all with my heart and my love motivating them. You must keep looking above. I know every detail of the present darkness. It does not take me by surprise.
As you look to me you become a pocket of light. As you trust me, your light intensifies because you are looking to me, the light source, and you increasingly reflect who I am. Do not be afraid of the darkness. It is afraid of you. In the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, you can walk in the confidence that you are more than a conqueror. Always remember that the darkness is temporary. It cannot last and it will not last. Also remember that I love the people around you who are in darkness. Trust me to create hunger for myself.
I have called my people to be shining lights. Expect me to reveal myself to you and through you and through my people in the Earth. As the darkness increases, the light also increases. As you look to me, you will be increasingly fruitful.
I will soon create a new heaven and a new Earth where I am in the midst and there is no more darkness.
Revelation ch 21 and 22.
