For years I refused to attempt a portrait of the Lord Jesus Christ, because I felt it would be impossible to capture even a fraction of His greatness.
Then I realized that He longs to reveal His many faceted beauty through every life that is given to Him. But what if we don’t do it very well? To the degree we are open, obedient and let Him, He will shine through. He does not wait till we are perfect. He loves, teaches and coaches us in the same way that a good father loves and interacts with his children.
No, this painting is not perfect, but hopefully, it conveys a little of His understanding and loving commitment to each one of us.
About Graham Braddock
Most of my paintings are executed in oils, often over the top of other media. Many are visual stories that contain partially hidden words or imagery where the homespun and the familiar become symbols of timeless truth. My hope is that you will discover additional levels of meaning as you look at the paintings closely.
